Australian employers will explore possibilities to hire foreign workers

Australian employers will need more help of they are to understand what possibilities are on offer for them when they want to employ people from abroad. Business owners and proprietors in the Northern Inland region are the latest to be offered the opportunity to learn more about employer sponsored skilled work visa options when immigration outreach officers visit the region later this month. The Australian Department of Immigration and Border protection said that various seminars will present more information to the Australian companies wishing to hire foreign workers. Employers from all over Australia will be given the opportunity to attend those seminars. Immigration outreach officers provide a range of information about employer sponsored temporary or permanent skilled work visa options and the concessions available for regional applicants. A spokesman from the department said that skill select is an online service that connects foreign workers with local employers. It streamlines visa application process and the pathway to permanent residence for those already employed in Australia. Employers who need workers but could not find it might nominate one through the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme.

At the same time many foreigners who look for a job have started to use the new services offered by the Australia government. One online site, Livehire.me, says that it has funneled more than $15 million in annual salary equivalent of direct job offers to workers and that number is now steadily growing by 40% a month. According to the site holders there are various job opportunities that range from skate park construction supervisors, to satellite engineers.
